Seeds for Zimbabwe is a humanitarian program organized by the Province of St. Elias and run by the Carmelite Friars operating in Zimbabwe, a country of approximately 12 million people in southeast Africa. Through Seeds for Zimbabwe, the Carmelite Friars can begin to turn around the lives of desperate Zimbabwean small communal farmers by providing them with the treated maize seeds and fertilizers they need to restart their farms. Our goal is the sustained revitalization of local farming communities in a country trying to get back on its feet.
