The Mission of Saint John the Martyr Church

As members of St. John the Martyr Roman Catholic Church, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, NewYork,

we commit ourselves to the building of a

Christian community in which the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be exemplified and fulfilled.

To accomplish this mission and vision, we commit ourselves to the action in the following areas:

Gather as a community that worships together and supports one another in spiritual growth;
Witness to our belief through sharing our faith with others through thought, word and works and by making a difference in our Parishioners’ lives;
Respond with compassion to both the spiritual and corporeal needs of those around us; and
Use our talents to benefit the Parish and its members.
